Standing Stones set for big weekend of pool

This Saturday, March 3rd sees the third annual East versus West matches for seniors take place. The action begins at 1pm in the Standing Stones and spectators are encouraged to go along for what promises to be an entertaining day of pool. The womens match is a 5 a side affair whilst the men’s game has 12 players in each team. It is planned to play the senior ladies singles once the ladies team match is finished. The men’s singles will be played in the Standing Stones on Saturday, March 17th.

Also set to be played later on in the day are the semi finals and finals of the Orkney Pool Under 25 singles. Scott Sinclair takes on Sean Munson in the first semi final before cousins Gavin and Steven Skea battle it out in the second semi final. This is the third year of this event which Kyran Taylor has won the previous two years so a new winner will be crowned on Saturday
