East have a clean sweep at the Seniors

The Standing Stones was the venue yesterday for the third annual Senior East versus West for both Men and Ladies.

The Ladies game was a 5 aside affair with 3 doubles matches played followed by 5 singles. The East have won the previous 2 years and this year they made it a hat trick with a 5-2 win.

The men's games have been very close contests with each side winning it once. This year, however the East proved too strong for the West to come away with a 12-6 win after the 6 doubles and 12 single matches were played.

Also played after the Ladies match was the senior ladies singles and it was Biz Seatter who won the trophy for a second successive year with a 3-2 win over Jean Monkman Scott in a repeat of last year's final.

A massive thanks go to all the players who played, helping make this event a success and to ensure it's continuation. Thanks to Bob, Dougie, Jean and Maureen for assembling the teams, thanks to Biz for the photos and thanks to the Standing Stones for hosting the event
