Names being taken for Orkney Masters

Names are now being taken for the second ranking event of the season, the Orkney Masters. This event will begin on Sunday, February 11^th February with names being taken up until 6pm on Saturday, February 10^th. All players who have paid their £10 entry fees for the season are automatically entered into this, for anyone else – please enter by posting here. I will post a list of all the entrants I have so please check to see if your name is there. 

The format for this event will be 1 or 2 preliminary rounds followed by groups. The highest 24, 32 or 48 ranked players who enter the event will go straight into the groups; this will depend on the number of entries. There will either be 8 groups or 16 groups, again this will depend on the number of entries. All will be confirmed when the draw takes place. All players then play each other in the groups once with the top 2 in each group qualifying for the latter stages of the competition.

All pool players resident in Orkney are very welcome to enter. Entry fee for the event is £3 and should be paid to a committee member. Entry is free to anyone under the age of 21
