the following ranking points:-

LAST 64 | 2 |

Final ranking points will be taken from your best 5
performances in the 7 ranking competitions. The 10 players who top the seasons
rankings at the end of 2018 will automatically qualify for the Orkney inter
county team in 2018-19. These 10 players will then select 3 wild cards from the
remaining players on the ranking list to make up the final team. The B team
will then be selected from the 9 highest ranked players who are not in the A
team.
If players are tied on points at the
season's end, then the player's 6th best ranking performance will count. If
still tied, then the player's 7th best ranking performance will count. If still
tied after that, then the player who beat the highest ranked player at any
stage, during the 7 competitions of 2017, will qualify for the team. If still
tied, then the next highest ranked player beaten and so on
The first ranking competition of 2018
will be the Challenge Cup which begins on the 7th January. This
competition will be an FA Cup style open draw with the tournament being redrawn
after every round. All players are responsible for organising their own games
and the winner of each game should post their score on Facebook. A play by day
is set for each round and competitors are asked to play their games within this
time scale or risk elimination.
Players who have already paid their
season competition fees are automatically entered into this but for anyone else
who wishes to enter, entry fee is £3. Entry is free to any players under the
age of 21
