The Orkney Team Cup became the first competition in the
history of Orkney Pool to involve teams from both the KDL and West Mainland
League’s. It was very popular in its first year in 2003 with 23 teams entering.
The final was played in the Merkister with the then reigning KDL champions ‘The
Georgian 2’ who defeated ‘The Stromness Hotel’ in the final.
